Description
Skype provides free, and cheap calls and messaging across the Internet to other Skype users. Download, register, install, plug in your headset, speakers or USB phone and start calling. The calls have excellent sound quality and are highly secure with end-to-end encryption. You don’t even need to configure your Firewall or router or any other networking gear. Skype also maintains a Global User Directory of Skype users.
SkypeOut lets you make calls to regular phone numbers; land-lines, mobile phones... it works with almost all of them. SkypeOut costs a minimal amount. Charges are at http://www.skype.com/products/SkypeOut/rates.
Default
Skype Account names are alpha-numeric. When dialing these account names, do not prefix the account name with a "+"
Prefix all other phone numbers with a "+". (UCAP will automatically do this).
